Today's donation is made in honor of our friend Laura who suggested St. Jude. St. Jude "is the largest childhood cancer research center in the world in terms of the number of patients enrolled and successfully treated on research protocols."
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
This is another charity I'm so glad exists. I had to stop watching the video before it finished, though. Too painful to see children, anyone, going through that. :(
